Peer Review Process
Hyrcanian Journal of Clinical Medicine uses a double-blind peer-review process. All submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated by the editorial team for suitability regarding the journal's scope, editorial requirements, and basic scientific and ethical standards.
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial assessment are generally sent to two or more independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Additional reviewers may be invited when necessary.
The handling editor makes the editorial decision based on the reviewers' reports and the overall scientific and ethical assessment of the manuscript. Authors may suggest qualified potential reviewers, but the final selection of reviewers remains entirely at the discretion of the editor.
Intentionally providing false or misleading information about suggested reviewers, including fabricated names or email addresses, may result in rejection of the manuscript and further editorial investigation.
Please visit the [Peer-Review Process] page for more details.
Publication Frequency
The Hyrcanian Journal of Clinical Medicine is published quarterly, with issues appearing during the following periods:
- January–March
- April–June
- July–September
- October–December
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are made independently on the basis of the scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, ethical standards, and relevance of submitted manuscripts.
The editorial decision-making process must remain free from inappropriate personal, political, financial, or institutional influence.
Editors involved in a conflict of interest with a submitted manuscript will not participate in the editorial decision-making process for that manuscript. Manuscripts submitted by members of the editorial team are handled independently by another qualified editor.
Please visit the [Peer-Review Process] page for more details.
Ethical Considerations
The Hyrcanian Journal of Clinical Medicine follows the publication-ethics principles and guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
The journal expects authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial staff to maintain high standards of research and publication ethics throughout the submission, review, and publication processes.
Please visit the [Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement] page for more details.
Publish Policy
Following acceptance, the manuscript proceeds to the production stage. The corresponding author will receive a proof for review when the article is ready for publication.
Authors are responsible for carefully checking the proof and confirming the accuracy of the text, data, tables, figures, references, author names, and affiliations.
Authors should pay particular attention to the accuracy of author names and institutional affiliations. Proofs should be returned within the deadline specified by the editorial office to avoid delays in publication.
Substantive changes to the manuscript after acceptance are not normally permitted without editorial approval.
Publication Ethics and Misconduct
Hyrcanian Journal of Clinical Medicine endorses the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) regarding responsible research and publication practices.
The journal expects the highest standards of integrity from all participants in the publication process.
Definition of Research Misconduct
Research misconduct includes:
(a) Fabrication: Making up data or results and recording or reporting them.
(b) Falsification: Manipulating research materials, equipment, processes, or data, or changing or omitting data or results so that the research record is inaccurately represented.
(c) Plagiarism: Appropriation of another person's ideas, processes, results, or words without appropriate acknowledgment.
(d) Honest errors and genuine differences of scientific opinion do not, by themselves, constitute research misconduct.
Suspected cases of misconduct are investigated and handled in accordance with the journal's publication-ethics procedures and applicable COPE guidance.
