About the Journal
The Hyrcanian Journal of Clinical Medicine (HJCM) is an independent, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to the advancement of clinical medicine and health sciences. The journal has a particular focus on local and regional health issues in Iran, with special emphasis on northern Iran and the Hyrcanian region of the southern Caspian Sea. HJCM aims to provide a scientific platform for high-quality research addressing important clinical challenges, disease patterns, healthcare priorities, and emerging health needs within the region.
While maintaining a strong regional focus, HJCM welcomes high-quality research from across Iran, neighboring countries, and the international scientific community. Submissions are not required to address a specifically Iranian or Hyrcanian topic, provided that they fall within the journal's aims and scope and meet appropriate standards of scientific quality, methodological rigor, and ethical conduct.
The journal welcomes original research articles, review articles, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, case reports, case series, brief communications, and letters to the editor covering a broad range of clinical and medical disciplines. HJCM particularly values research with potential implications for clinical practice, patient care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, healthcare delivery, and public health.
The journal seeks to promote interdisciplinary collaboration among physicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, and experts in medical and health sciences. By connecting regional research priorities with the broader international scientific community, HJCM aims to facilitate the dissemination of clinically relevant evidence and contribute to improvements in healthcare in northern Iran, the wider Hyrcanian region, and beyond.

Nursing in Clinical Medicine
HJCM welcomes clinically relevant research in nursing and nursing care as they relate to clinical medicine, including patient care, clinical outcomes, patient safety, clinical practice, and multidisciplinary management of diseases and medical conditions.
Regional and International Perspective
Given its Hyrcanian identity and regional focus, the journal particularly encourages research addressing health conditions, disease patterns, environmental and healthcare challenges, and clinical priorities relevant to northern Iran and the southern Caspian region. At the same time, HJCM remains open to scientifically rigorous research from all regions of Iran, neighboring countries, and the wider international community.
Research originating outside the Hyrcanian region is therefore fully eligible for consideration when it is relevant to the journal's clinical and health sciences scope. The journal aims to serve as a bridge between local and regional healthcare priorities and the broader international scientific community.
Peer Review and Scientific Standards
All submissions to HJCM undergo a rigorous peer-review process designed to evaluate scientific quality, methodological soundness, originality, ethical standards, and clinical relevance. The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of research integrity, transparency, and responsible publication practices.
Through its regional commitment and international outlook, the Hyrcanian Journal of Clinical Medicine seeks to support the development of evidence-based clinical practice, encourage meaningful scientific collaboration, and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge and healthcare outcomes in Iran and beyond.
